DDP: German Democratic Party (Deutsche Demokratische Partei): center-left/liberal, professional and business class 

DVP: German People’s Party (Deutsche Volkspartei): center-right/liberal, mildly populist, professional and business class 

Z: Center Party (Zentrumspartei): the party of political Catholicism, center-right, all classes 

DNVP: German National People’s Party (Deutschnationale Volkspartei): conservative, right-wing populist/quasi-fascist, rural  

NSDAP: National Socialist German Workers’ Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei): far-right, fascist, racist, antisemitic, all classes
